Goodbye ‘Phillip’
The Darren Weir stable said goodbye to an old favourite on the weekend when nine-year-old Gotta Keep Cool, known around the stable as Phillip, was retired from racing.
Welcome to Darren Weir Racing
Darren Weir Racing Stables, also known as Forest Lodge, is located 15 km north-west of the Ballarat Town Centre at the Ballarat Racecourse.
Darren moved to Ballarat in 2001 after outgrowing his training property in Stawell.
The “state of the art” training facilities that have been developed allow us to provide the utmost care and attention to your horse, in a safe and happy environment.
Darren has a very “hands on” approach to training horses and the quality of care provided to each individual horse is second to none.
We also have a property at Warrnambool with access to the beach and caters for horses who are completing a rehabilitation program, have niggling injuries, need a change of atmosphere or require a freshen up.
We cater for all types of race horses and provide a varied program for each individual horse.
Our aim is to provide a professional and successful service to every owner and their horse.
